The Excellence Program is designed for dedicated student-athletes who strive for success in academics, athletics, and personal growth. Through mentorship, scholarship opportunities, and leadership development, participants gain the tools needed to excel in every aspect of life.
The 6th man 11 scholarships are financial awards presented to boys and girls who meet the following criteria and are selected by the MYA Scholarship Committee:
Participates in one or more Loudoun Sports Training / D1 Sports and Athletics sports programs.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need yearly, supported by documents such as income statements plus tax returns, or letters from a financial aid office.
Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA requirement, ensuring a commitment to academic excellence.
Applicants should exhibit exceptional talent and dedication to basketball, demonstrated through participation in competitive leagues, achievements, and recommendations from coaches.
Preference will be given to applicants who are actively involved in their communities through volunteer work, leadership roles, coaching (assistant or head), referee, or extracurricular activities.
Applicants should display leadership skills, positive character, teamwork, and a commitment to personal growth both on and off the court.
